Name: Gyer Brazer
Primary Draconium Influence: Blue
Secondary Draconium Influences: Purple, white, black
Allegiance: Blue empire
Occupation: Apprentice weapon/ dragon gear smith
Description: Gyer Brazer stands about 5'9", when he's actually standing that is; more and more him standing is becoming a rare occurrence as he's always at his workbench. Binding metal to draconium, cooling the alloy, hammering the gear into the perfect shape to be easily magged, this is all part of his every day chores that his master puts him up to. More often than not, he some how always ends up with the dirty work that Drokall simply doesn't feel like bothering with, and more than once he has scoured the inside of the smelting furnace for the tiny remaining bits of molten draconium that always seem to get stuck in the far back. Wiping the sweat out of his dirty blond hair, Gyer has been known to glare at his sire Drokall with a fire in his storm grey eyes that smouldered like heated pellets behind his goggles of light blue draconium crystal. only to return to his work just as his master would look in his direction.
Due to all the extra work that he's done Gyer is reasonably muscular, only it's more in a farmboy kind of way that a bodybuilder kind of way. making him not as attractive as some of the soldiers who tended to woo the ladies whenever they came back from their skirmishes. Sure Gyer has scars of his own to show but considering that many of them came from tearing his flesh on searing hot metal instead of the teeth of a Hydrag or a feral dragon, he never bothered to show them off. His sun darkened skin never helped bring attention to him either, but for right now he didn't care about the shallow women of the village, he was much more concerned with the temperaments of his end users, dragons
Personality: Gyer tends to be much more of an introvert than most people would consider normal, though considering his main source of company happened to be Drokall, his master, it's not too surprising that he ended up the way he did. In the shop Gyer tends to stay completely silent throughout the day completely contented with hammering, searing, and welding his newest piece of dragon gear without saying a word. In fact many of his customers have come and left barely even noticing that the young smithy was there at all. This all changes when he finally finishes his work, and he gets to enjoy his little free time in the diminishing rays of the sun. When he finally hangs up his hammer and tongs, every day he goes out and streaks out across the purple and red fields that burn orange with the light of the setting sun and the back of Nox his blue dragon.
Here in his precious times of solitude, Gyer makes up for all the time that he never spoke to people, by talking to his lithe Navy blue companion, even though he's fully aware that she probably doesn't understand half the things that he's saying to her. Nox of course making the perfect listener always continues to run, without breaking a beat, and bringing Gyer the feeling that she is running away from all the problems that Gyer faces back at the smith shop. Though by nightfall she always brings him back to the flickering candle-light of his small cottage and gives his back a reassuring bump before sending him off to bed.
History: Gyer is the classic young adult just trying to make his way in the world. Finish classes, begin a trade, work hard and get your own place. Gyer did all of this expecting to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow as soon as he reached "The Real World" unfortunately, he soon discovered that his pot of golden happiness, was just a mythical as the one at the end of the rainbow, and though he was contented with his work, Drokall always found ways to degrade and demean his only worker. Even though he Gyer had chosen his occupation, it wasn't the one he had planned on ending up with, as his aspirations stood closer to using the gear that he crafted than actually forging it.
Ever since he had been young Gyer had always wanted to be a soldier, but various circumstances arose, and when push came to shove, his lack of knowledge about dragon riding always held him back, and time after time, he would always return home slightly more dejected at another dragon riding failure, and would always beg his parents to see if they could find a dragon that he could call his own and that he could practice the trials with. Unfortunately his parent's response always pointed to the lack of available funds to buy a dragon of their own.
Time passed and Gyer finally let his dream go, settling for learning more about the weapons that he would probably never get to use, by gaining a knowledge of the inner workings of each and every device that he could gain his hands on. Ironically enough it wasn't too much later that he came to meet Nox. She had actually been won by Drokall in a wager with an Officer, but was enraged when she refused to be a simple beast of burden in his stables. In a fit of rage, Drokall pushed his "Useless dragon" off on his only worker telling him, "She's your problem now! Have her eat your stores dry!" Ever since that day, Gyer and Nox had been inseparable, Though feeding Nox had indeed put a strain on Gyer wallet he never regretted owning her.
Bone Color: Blue [Energy class]
Description: Nox's Tardis blue skin color mixed with streaks of midnight black, and a solid white bone mark reminded Gyer so much of a starry midnight sky, that he decided to name her after that. Nox quite happy to be given this "Nickname" consented without a problem. Larger than most of the medium class, Nox stands tall and proud above most of the other dragons around her as she holds to her police training even out of the force.
Personality: Nox is proud of her war days, and even during the time when Gyer is at work, she continues her training out in the woods by herself, practicing mag throws, and boosts with the natural ore of draconium around the hills. She is much more mature than her partner and often trains Gyer with him realizing that he is being trained. She sees a lot of potential in Gyer and hopes to make him a good partner. But for now, she's patient with her apprentice.
