There's a new organization in town, the Dragon City Council! Here is the guide and rules in a FAQ format:
* What exactly is the DCC, what does it do, and what’s it for?
1) A status of recognition for those who stayed with Dragon Legends through thick and thin.
2) To involve more people with the decision making process, making it their site as well.
3) To give us more eyes, hands and minds to do some of the things that really do not administrative activity.
4) A sounding board for ideas we would like to try on the site and to be a source of new and fresh ideas.
* What are its responsibilities and privileges?
The responsibilities would be determined by what committee they have volunteered for. As for privileges, at the moment, I only perceive, all they need is a place where they can hash out things in privacy.
* What powers will be necessary for them to carry out their role?
At the moment, nothing more than access to a private board discus options and ideas.
* What role do they carry out?
That depends on what committee they volunteer for.
* What are the committees and what do they do?
The current committees are: the Racing committee, and the Plot committee. The Racing committee comes up with ideas for races, official races and the Plot committee comes up with ideas for plots the site can take part in.
* How does oner become a member of the DCC?
If the administration believes others are needed then we would ask the DCC to submit candidates which we look over and invite if they are suitable.
* Can I join more than one committee, or switch committees?
At this point in time, yes, you can. If it becomes a problem limits will be put in place.
* How could they abuse their powers?
Someone uses the status and act like they are a moderator or use the private board as their private stomping grounds or reveal the password to someone that is not a member of the DCC.
* What will the punishment be for violating the rules?
They would lose their status as DCC member; after that the standard method of discipline would kick in.
NOTE: DON'T burn yourselves out! The DCC is just supposed to help spread out the workload. So, although you guys will be doing things like putting forth ideas for races and plots, you don't have to put out a ton at once. One every month or three is more than enough. ^^
